All the experience of the brand that dominates championships such as AMA Motocross and Supercross now with models designed for other off-road aspects.
Let's take a closer look at each model.
Kawasaki KX 250 2021
The 250 KX 2021 is the bike for those who want to be the next champion and leave their name in the history of competitions.

To help you get ahead, the model comes equipped with launch control. KLCM (Kawasaki Launch Control Mode), which adjusts the power map at the touch of a button, prioritizing traction on low-grip surfaces, launching the driver ahead of opponents when falling off the gate at the start. In addition to this map, exclusive to the start system, there are three other adjustment options for riders to choose according to their reading of the track. The DFI is a set of plugs that can be easily replaced without the aid of tools and is used to adjust the motorcycle's electronic injection. The green (standard) comes with the motorcycle from the dealership, the white (soft) offers a more aggressive map, ideal for muddy or soft dirt tracks, and the black (hard) softens the power delivery for better grip on very compacted dirt tracks.
More powerful and revving higher, the 250 KX 2021 engine has received fine-tuning that has extracted even more power from the 249cc engine. Approximately 1,4hp of extra power and revs reaching 14500RPM to offer maximum performance when twisting the handle. The changes also brought significant improvement at low and medium revs, while at high revs the bike gains more power and explosiveness for straights and long curves.
With the adoption of a hydraulic clutch, as in the KX 450, riders can enjoy light lever operation and precise gear changes that save valuable seconds on the track. In addition, they reduce arm fatigue and tiredness from constant gear changes during a race.
The lightness and strength of aluminum sculpted and shaped to offer even more traction and excellent terrain reading together with the suspensions.
These suspensions have been optimized in relation to the previous model and feature an inverted KYB at the front, with spring and oil operation, 48mm springs and 314mm of travel. The surface of the tubes has received a special treatment from Kashima Coat, for better fluidity in operation and resistance to scratches. The revision of the lower table has made the part lighter and more rigid. At the rear, the shock absorber with 316mm of travel coupled to the Uni-Trak swingarm, which allows the suspension to be mounted in a lower position, increasing the travel and also the precision, also bringing improved impact absorption and more precise control when riding. For fine tuning by the riders, the front offers 23 compression options and 20 rebound. With dual compression control at the rear, it is possible to make separate adjustments for high and low speed (2.25 high and 21 low), 38 rebound and preload adjustment.
Ready for whatever comes and whoever comes. The adjustable ergonomics of the 250 KX 2021 allow the bike to be adapted to different riders with the most varied body types. You can choose the position of the Renthal handlebars from four options, for better adaptation of the Ergo-Fit: 25mm forward, 15mm forward, standard or 10mm back. The footpegs can also be adjusted, offering two positions: standard and 5mm lower.
The new KX 250 offers superior ergonomics, a wider chassis at the bottom where the rider's feet and weight are supported with a narrower upper section.
The Kawasaki look that draws attention to paddock. Fairings with molded and more resistant graphics, black rims like those used by the official team, oil cap and other details in gold, the minimalism that makes the KX 250 2021 a true work of art.
With so much power and lightness that make the bike fly low on the track, brakes at the same level are needed to hold the beast and maintain control while setting the best lap times. Optimized in relation to the 2020 model, at the front the model features a 270mm petal-shaped brake disc and dual-piston caliper, braking power combined with modulation for more precise control thanks to the new master cylinder, the same as the KX 450. At the rear, a 240mm petal-shaped disc and single-piston caliper.
The most powerful engine of all generations of KX 250, made to go fast and be at the front from the start to the finish line. Competition-ready suspensions, developed based on all Kawasaki experience in competing in the biggest and most competitive championships in the world. Light and narrow chassis that allows the rider to move freely and safely, without losing stability. Put on the bike and make it an extension of your movements to climb to the highest place on the podium.

Kawasaki KX 250X 2021
As it is based on its namesake MX version, the acclaimed KX 250, the motorcycle received important adjustments to masterfully negotiate rocky stretches, cross rivers, face steep hills, closed trails and even some jumps, such as those found in Rally, Enduro and Cross Country races.

One of the most significant changes for those who practice off road and have fun on weekends on trails all over the country is the adoption of 18” rear wheel, from the factory, featuring higher profile tires, ideal for low-grip terrain that requires lower tire pressure. In addition, electric start, side stand, softer suspensions and a different final drive ratio complete the adjustment package.
Rigid and balanced chassis, just right, to provide a smooth ride, even on the most difficult stretches. Slim and light when changing direction, narrower at the top, close to the seat, and slightly wider at the bottom, offering better support for the rider, who also has a minimalist fairing and tank in line with the seat, offering the rider more room to move around on the bike.
Sharing the new chassis and swingarm derived from the KX 450 model and used in the KX 250 motocross bike. The lightness and strength of aluminum composed of forged, extruded and cast parts in order to offer precision in maneuvers, more traction and excellent reading of the terrain together with the suspensions.
Properly adjusted to offer the best performance also in Cross Country, the engine is the same used in its sister aimed at motocross tracks, the renowned 249cc engine that uses dual electronic injection, Keihin and delivers performance in a wide range of rotations. More powerful and with more RPMs, the engine received fine adjustments that extracted approximately 1,4hp of extra power and raised the rotations to 14500RPM to offer maximum performance when twisting the handle. The changes brought significant improvement in low and medium rotations, while in high rotations the bike gains more strength and explosiveness.
To help you get ahead, the model comes equipped with launch control. KLCM (Kawasaki Launch Control Mode), which adjusts the power map at the touch of a button, prioritizing traction on low-grip surfaces, launching the rider ahead of the competition when the green light comes on. In addition to this map, exclusive to the start system, there are three other adjustment options for riders to choose according to their reading of the track. The DFI is a set of plugs that can be easily replaced without the aid of tools and is used to adjust the motorcycle's electronic injection. The black (hard) map, which comes from the factory with the KX 250X and has a smooth behavior, delivering power while prioritizing grip on compacted soil, the green (standard on the MX version) and the white (soft) map, which offers a more aggressive map, ideal for muddy terrain or very soft soil.
Save time and avoid physical fatigue by starting your bike at the touch of a button, which is very useful on steep or slippery stretches. And to bring the convenience of electric starting, it was necessary to add a Li-ion battery, which is lighter and more compact than conventional ones, as well as an automatic decompression device in the exhaust chamber to make starting easier.
Maintain full control of the machine and count on the braking power of the 270mm front disc with dual-piston caliper and, at the rear, a single 240mm disc and single-piston caliper. All the grip and comfort of the Pirelli Scorpion MX Extra X tires, being: at the front 80 x 100 x 21 (51M) and at the rear 110 x 100 x 18 (64M), surrounding the rims with measurements of 21” and 18” respectively, ideal for practicing the sport, unlike the MX version that uses rims 21 x 19. The transmission received a crown with one more tooth than the track version and is configured in 51D/13D, thus improving traction and control on trails and dirt roads, offering more elasticity in use, making better use of the engine's torque ranges.

The spirit of adventure is rooted in Kawasaki's values, the passion for freedom, the authenticity that takes riders to the most remote places to enjoy the most beautiful landscapes while having fun on two wheels, regardless of the type of terrain, that's Rideology. Overcome obstacles with excellence, thanks to the exceptional performance of the 250 KX 2021X, based on the motocross model, prepared for the challenges of the off-road world.

Kawasaki KX 450X 2021
A motorcycle made to ride at the front. The 449cc engine, derived from the MX version, has a hydraulic clutch and programmable maps, a modern chassis and suspension ready for competition. Overcoming obstacles in nature or those created by man will be an easy task for it. Even more so with the new 21 x 18 wheels and differentials such as engine protection and rear brake disc, in addition to the side support and electric starter that make the rider's life easier.

Optimized for use in open-course modalities, outside of closed motocross circuits, the KX 450X engine delivers power and torque in line from the lowest revs, to perform its role masterfully on tight trails and also on dirt roads.
Among the modifications that the engine received, a valve actuation system designed by Kawasaki engineers from the Superbike World Championship, with a larger diameter and more aggressive chamber profile. Rotating up to 11700 RPM, thanks to the new titanium valves, with a 40mm intake and 33mm exhaust, allowing maximum opening for air passage, increasing performance at high rotation speeds. Special treatment of the chambers and internal ducts to extend durability and reduce friction.
The engine is tilted at just 3º, practically vertical, contributing to the distribution of mass and the center of gravity. It is also the ideal position to extract maximum traction when twisting the throttle grip. The piston has a short skirt with reinforcement at the ends and central part, the cylinder is slightly moved forward (8.5 mm) to reduce the effects of friction, and the electronic control unit (ECU) includes programming that allows the ignition timing to be delayed when the rear wheel loses traction too quickly. The 44 mm throttle body dumps a large volume of air into the engine while the 12-hole injectors come into action to form the perfect spray and obtain maximum combustion explosion.
Smooth and light control for much longer thanks to the hydraulic clutch. With a lever that offers precise operation, even after long hours of riding and system warm-up, there will be no need to apply force to the lever. The discs and springs designed to act intelligently ensure precision even when “half” clutching. Combined with the 5-speed gearbox and optimized final ratio, which uses a 51 crown and 13 pinion, unlike the motocross version which is 50/13, controlling the bike in any terrain condition while maintaining maximum traction will be an easy task.
The KLCM (Kawasaki Launch Control Mode) launch control system launches the rider forward by reducing traction loss and helping the rider gain speed to leave the competition behind, as in motocross starts. Near the steering post, on the right side of the motorcycle with the system plug and play, it is possible to adjust the injection maps without having to pick up a single tool. There are three adjustment options pre-programmed in the DFI plugs that come with the bike, tough, which comes from the factory and offers smoother and more linear behavior, the soft which is the opposite of the first and the standard, which offers balance between the two maps, this is also the map that comes standard in the MX version.
Freedom of movement with maneuvers that make the motorcycle become an extension of your body. Wider at the ankles and narrower at the horse's height, the aluminum frame is light, rigid and slim, which makes it easier for the rider to move around on the bike. The parts that make up the set are manufactured using different processes, aiming to obtain a resistant chassis at the necessary points, without adding extra weight to the bike. Through Kawasaki Ergo-Fit, riders of all sizes and body types can adjust the bike to their taste and preference. The 28,6mm Renthal handlebars that come with the model can be positioned in 4 points: 25mm forward, 15mm forward, standard and 10mm back. The support pedals can also be adjusted, having the position standard or 5mm lower as options, which makes the center of gravity even lower.
The perfect combination to maintain stability under any terrain conditions, the adjustable suspensions derived from the motocross version, properly adjusted to follow natural paths with smoothness and progressiveness. At the front, an inverted Showa with 49mm tubes, 16 compression adjustments and 16 rebound adjustments, 305mm of travel and inner tubes with a special finish. A layer of titanium in navy blue made by Kashima Coat for extra protection against abrasion. At the rear, a monoshock on a scale with the new Uni Trak system, whose assembly below the scale line provides increased travel and considerable improvement in traction. With separate compression adjustments for high speed (4 turns) and low speed (19 turns), it also has 22 rebound adjustments and preload adjustment, with 307mm of travel.
The brakes guarantee high braking power, optimized for off-road, thanks to the 270mm disc at the front, with a double-piston caliper and lever that offers adjustable responses to the riders. The 240mm disc at the rear uses a single-piston caliper and great pedal responses for control and safety. In addition, the KX 450X features differentials such as the rear disc protector, unlike its motocross sister.
The exclusive package of the “X” version also includes engine protectors, under the engine between the frame and on the side covering the water pump, equipment required to face rocks, logs and other natural challenges without worrying, and the side support that allows the motorcycle to be parked anywhere. Very useful on steep or slippery stretches, the electric starting system provides convenience and speed when starting the motorcycle. To achieve this, it was necessary to add a Li-ion battery, lighter and more compact than conventional ones, in addition to an automatic decompression device in the exhaust chamber to facilitate starting.
Another major difference between the model and its motocross counterpart is the adoption of an 18-inch rear wheel. With specific tires for trails, the front is a Pirelli Scorpion MX Extra X measuring 80 x 100 x 21 (51M) and the rear is the same model, measuring 110 x 100 x 18 (64M). The 1-inch reduction in the rim opens up a range of possibilities for riders regarding the use of higher-wall and lower-calibration tires, which translates into comfort and grip on the trails. The black paint contributes to the visual identity of the KX family.
Details that reflect the characteristics of the KX line and refer to the versions of the official competition team, such as the minimalism of the gold oil caps and generator cover plugs, green suspension adjusters and plastics with molded graphics to last longer.
Overcome obstacles with excellence, thanks to the exceptional performance of the 450 KX 2021X, based on the motocross model, prepared for the challenges of the off-road world. The spirit of adventure is rooted in Kawasaki's values, the passion for freedom, the authenticity that takes riders to the most remote places to enjoy the most beautiful landscapes having fun on two wheels, regardless of the type of terrain, that's being Rideology. What others call remote places, the KX 450X has as its playground. The more challenging it is to reach a certain point, the more rewarding your arrival will be, bringing with it an unforgettable experience capable of creating great memories.
As it is a model designed for off-road racing, there are no difficult trails or enduros with it, because while you ride you have fun and still conquer the highest place on the podium. Developed under the most rigorous demands of the best riders in the world, the competitionsffroad won't be the same after the KX 450X passes.
